FREE Mindful Making Art Class at the Figge

This class offers opportunities for self-expression and exploration through the art making process, meditation, and reflective writing. Art is a way to access internal states, explore identity, express feelings and process life events. Participants will be provided a variety of fine art and non-traditional art materials to use for spontaneous creative expression.

Art + Therapy Workshop

This training is aimed at therapists, social workers and Masters level students who are interested in learning how to intentionally incorporate art into their therapeutic practice. In this training you will learn about the impact of trauma and how to assess child development through art. You will also gain an understanding of how to choose appropriate media and art materials in consideration of your client’s presenting symptoms. This is a practical hands-on training meant to provide therapists with specific tools and a framework for using art in a clinical setting.

VIRTUAL CRAFT TABLE: Use collage to capture internal feelings and emotions through found imagery. Explore different ways to approach collage as a medium for art making and continued self-exploration. Registrants will receive an e-mail with a Zoom link two hours prior to the program.
