Parenting Children & Teens

At least 1 in 5 teens struggle with mental health. Mental health impacts how you think, feel, and act, and impacts how you show up in relationships, at school, and at home. Mental health struggles can be caused by many different things, such as: relationship issues, loss, stress, or medical conditions. Everyone experiences tough emotions. Some issues resolve on their own, others are more complex and can take longer. Therapy can be a safe and productive place to process mental health struggles and work toward goals to create lasting, positive change.

Parenting teens is no easy feat! The days are long and the nights are even longer. Each age and stage seems to bring its own set of issues and hurdles. Our years of parenting young children and teenagers can seem like some of the most exhausting and frustrating years we have with our children. There is no shame in reaching out and learning new ways to relate and engage with your kids. Supporting them through these tough and uncertain years can leave you feeling exhausted. Taking care of them begins with taking care of you.
