Seeing, hearing, validating and believing is what Angela Snyder feels every person needs in order to discover their inherent worth – especially children. Angela graduated with her Master’s in Social Work from The University of Iowa in 2008 and has been a therapist (LISW) since 2013. Angela has worked extensively with children ages 4-12 with varying issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, behavioral concerns, ADHD, and ODD. Her main focus however, is working with children who have experienced trauma. Angela uses evidence-based Adlerian play therapy as well as other therapeutic interventions that are tailored to each individual client. In addition, she is currently getting certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Outside of therapy, Angela is currently working on her 2nd Master’s in Forensic Psych and is a trained National Children’s Advocacy Center (NCAC) Forensic Interviewer and contracts with EveryChild of the Quad Cities. Angela is married to her husband, Chris and they have 2 children. Angela is an extrovert and enjoys being with friends and family any chance she gets. Traveling, staying active, as well as Netflix and knitting also top the list.

Connecting the mind, body and heart is the foundation of Marisa’s therapeutic practice. Having worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced significant trauma, Marisa uses Trauma Informed Care and person-centered practices, allowing the client to guide the therapeutic process on their terms.

Marisa earned her Masters of Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2016 and has worked in the social services field for over 12 years. In addition to her academic experience, Marisa has had training in evidenced based techniques such as Adlerian Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Marisa is currently partnering with Monroe Elementary School in Davenport to provide school based therapy services to students. In addition to specializing in working with young children, Marisa also works with adult trauma survivors, as she is proficient in the treatment of PTSD, substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault/abuse, ADHD, anxiety and depression.

Accepts: Wellmark BCBS, BCBS of Illinois, United Healthcare/UMR/Optum and self pay.

Anna Richards is a licensed art therapist who studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She works with kids, teens and adults on issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, domestic violence, sexual abuse, PTSD, family change, and relationship issues. She has eclectic approach to treatment and has training in Adlerian play therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness strategies.

As a therapist, she is committed to a therapeutic process that enhances each persons’ creative potential and honors each individual’s unique path towards personal development. She believes that within safe, caring, empathic and empowering relationships children and adults have the capacity to become agents of their own healing and growth.

Jillyn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Iowa and Illinois.  She has experience in a variety of settings counseling adolescents, adults, couples, and families.  Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, she is passionate about engaging with clients and facilitating authentic, healthy, and goal-driven outcomes.  Jillyn recognizes we are all works in progress and encourages living into your values, having a safe space to be vulnerable, and knowing your innate worthiness.

Breann or Bre Hirst is a wife to her wonderful spouse and mom of their son and two fur babies. Bre enjoys listening to audiobooks and music, crafting, and spending quality time at home. Bre is a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the states of Illinois and Iowa; providing mental health support in the Quad City Area for over 5 years and teaches local students social work courses as Adjunct Professor for Black Hawk College and St. Ambrose University.

Bre focuses on providing psychotherapy and community education through engaging and reflective based practices that foster understanding of mental health in an inter-systemic way. Psychotherapeutic Services are collaborative and focused on providing psychoeducation and opportunities to engage with mental health practice strategies and concepts that include Brain-Nervous System, Sensory Systems and Regulation, and Communication and Relationships. Bre provides psychotherapeutic services to people of all ages and identities. Community Education presentations are encouraged and adapted for groups of all sizes and dynamics including School Buildings and Districts, Employers and Workplace Teams, and Sports/Entertainment/Performance Groups.
